(makes about 1 1/2 cups sauce)
Ingredients
- 1 lb. (3 to 4 medium) fresh tomatoes, coarsely chopped
- 1 Tbs. olive oil
- 3/4 tsp. each salt and sugar
- 1/2 tsp. ground pepper
- 1 1/2 to 2 tsp. balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
Technique
Mix everything together, and serve.
Source: We had this one night at Kathryn's house, and liked it so much we started making it ourselves.
