- 8 cups apple cider
- maple syrup to taste
- 6 inches stick cinnamon
- 1 tsp whole allspice
- 1 tsp whole cloves
- 1 orange, sliced into thin wedges
- 8 whole cloves
In a large saucepan, combine the cider and the maple syrup. Add the spices and the orange wedges, studded with the whole cloves. Bring the mixture to a boil; reduce heat and allow to simmer for a minimum of 30 minutes. Strain solids and return to the pot. Makes 8 cups.
