Ingredients
- 1/2 lb margarine or butter
- 1 c sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 c flour
- 1 t baking powder
- 1 t salt
- 2 cans cherry pie filling mixed with 1 t vanilla or almond extract
OR
- 2 cans blueberry pie filling mixed with 1 t vanilla
to make it chocolate, add:
- 3 T cocoa powder
- 3 T brewed coffee
- 2 T sugar
Technique
- Pre-heat oven to 350
- Cream margarine and sugar.
- Add eggs one at a time.
- Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt, then mix with the other ingredients. If making the cocolate version, add those ingredients to the flour mixture.
- Pour all but 1 c of batter into greased 9×13 pan. Spread filling evenly and dot spoonfuls of remaining batter on top.
- Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes.
