Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb margarine or butter
  • 1 c sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 c flour
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 1 t salt
  • 2 cans cherry pie filling mixed with 1 t vanilla or almond extract

OR

  • 2 cans blueberry pie filling mixed with 1 t vanilla

to make it chocolate, add:

  • 3 T cocoa powder
  • 3 T brewed coffee
  • 2 T sugar

Technique

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350
  2. Cream margarine and sugar.
  3. Add eggs one at a time.
  4. Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt, then mix with the other ingredients. If making the cocolate version, add those ingredients to the flour mixture.
  5. Pour all but 1 c of batter into greased 9×13 pan. Spread filling evenly and dot spoonfuls of remaining batter on top.
  6. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes.
