Ingredients
3 cups sugar
3 cups bottled lemon juice
2 cups water
1/2 tsp lemon oil OR
1 lemon's zest, finely chopped, plus the fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat (but chop it up)
Method
Put all ingredients in a half-gallon container and shake vigorously until sugar is completely dissolved.
To serve, dilute 1 part syrup with 4-6 parts water. Ice is nice.
Notes
Makes 1/2 gallon syrup, which is enough for about 3 gallons of lemonade.
