Technique

  1. Combine dates, water, sugar, honey and butter; let stand 15 minutes.
  2. Stir in egg and vanilla extract.
  3. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; stir into batter with nuts.
  4. Pour into greased pan, bake at 325 degrees, 50 – 60 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
